What is the DNS zone?
A DNS zone is any distinct, contiguous portion of the domain name space in the Domain Name System (DNS) for which administrative responsibility has been delegated to a single manager.
(i.e. a country-code top-level domain registry) or a company/individual registered to use a certain sub-domain within the system. Depending on the administrative rights delegated to a certain entity, DNS zones may consist of only one domain, or of many domains and sub-domains. Further authority over a sub-space could be delegated to other parties, if necessary.
Why we are create Dns Zone? What is the purpose?:
Every domain name, which is a part of the DNS system, has several DNS settings, also known as DNS records. In order for these DNS records to be kept in order, the DNS zone was created.

Login into liquid web account on clicking below link

Once you are logged into liquid web account click on Domains in the left-hand column
3.After that you can see below page on your screen
A.] Click on Dns tabs
B.] Go to “Create Dns Zone” section
C.] Enter Your Domain Name
D.] Click on “Create Dns Zone” Button
4. Zone File Edits
List of all Dns Zone currently on your account and the current status of the delegation to Liquid Web’s name servers. If the status appears red, the delegation has not yet been fully completed, or there may be an issue in how it was configured. You can click “check” to force a re-check of the delegation status at any time. You may expand a zone to view and manage all associated DNS records.
Find your desired domain and click on the +(Plus icon) next to the domain name. This will allow you to edit DNS records for the selected domain. It’s important to note that “delegated” means that ns.liquidweb.com or ns.sourcedns.com (including ns1 for both; Liquid Web owns and operates both of these name servers) is controlling the selected site’s DNS settings. If a site is not delegated, the changes that you make will not have any effect to users around the world.
The red space is where the site’s IP address should be located. On your screen you would have numbers there in the form of a standard IP address, such as 127.0.0.1. If you need to update that IP, you can click on the Edit or Delete buttons. If you need to add an entirely new record, simply click on the Add New Record button instead.

Changes to DNS settings may take up to 48 hours to propagate – to be “seen” – around the world. Liquid Web does not have any control over how quickly remote networks update their records. To minimize perceived downtime, please consider updating your DNS records overnight or across a weekend.
