What is Sales Page : Sales page is basically a webpage where our customers can visit and get to know more about any particular product which we wish to sell. Also its a lace from where our users can purchase our products. Each product should has its own sales page.

Why we take Sales Page Backup:

As sometimes (Mostly during Launch period) due to huge traffic our main sales page can gets down and at this situation we need to direct our customers to a page which is up and running at this time backup sales page plays a useful role. So before every launch its neccessary to have Backup Copies for each sales page. We usually host it on Amazon S3.

Prerequisites:

Process : There are two way which we can use for backing up our sales page.

1. For OptimizePress Backup :

Exporting Backup File

Step1): Log into admin panel where your sales page is hosted.

Step 2) Goto pages , Edit your page which you wish to export.

Step 3) Choose Live Editor Option .

Step 4) Hit ‘Content Template’ option .

Step 5) Then select ‘Export Template’ option which will appear on popup.

Under this tab provide appropriate name description placeholder.

Step 6) After filling out all this information simply hit ‘Generate Zip’.

This will download a zip file which you have to use it for importing.

Importing Generated Backup File :

Step 1) Log into admin panel where you wish to import your backup sales page to.

Step 2) After login , goto Pages, Try to Clone any page.

Step 3) Give appropriate title to your page then click ‘Live Editor’ button.

Step 4) Again you have to go to ‘Content Templates’

Step 5) After installing your zip file try to find it within uploaded templates.

Check it and finally hit ‘Update’ button at the bottom. This button will prompt for confirmation hit ‘OK’ and your page will be imported successfully.

B) Backing up sales page as HTML :

1. Simply visit your sales page first .(Make sure you have not logged into its admin panel otherwise admin bar will come in picture)
2. When page loads successfully, right click to open ‘View Page Source’ option.
3. View Page source option will convert current page content into html format.
4. Save this content into index.html file .
5. Now you have to alter all external urls into your internal links.
6. For that download optimizepress links folder from below url,
7. Save all images into your local directory and alter their paths within html file as well.
8. Make sure you are not taking any external reference.
9. Cross check your sales page with original copy.
10. Best way to check your html backup by disconnecting your internet connection and running your file.
11. Upload everything on Amazon S3 inside appropriate bucket and folder.
12. Grab full link from s3 for your index.html file. Run it.
