In this Tutorial we are going to learn How to use screencast-o- matic & manage it.

What is screencast-o-matic ?:it is a tool for recording screen.

Why we use screencast-o-matic? What is the purpose?:

We use screencast-o-matic to make demo videos and tutorials for products.

Prerequisites:

Lastpass,screencast-o-matic link,or screencast-o-matic application.

Process:

How to use screencast-o-matic?

Please refer screenshots too.

Go to screencast-o-matic.com site

Click on the Start recorder button.

And get started with screencast-o-matic.

After that you will get recording screen

Refer below screenshot

1. a:rec is to record the screen

2. b:sound narration to check whether the audio

voice which we are recording is properly audible.

3. c:you can adjust the height of screen using it or

You can describe the size of resolution.

You can pause the video and can resume afterwards

by using pause and record button.

After you have recorded the video you can edit it using editor

Or if you don’t want the video you can delete it.

Or you have recorded your video you can click on done

Or you can watch the video using play option.

After clicking on done .

You will get screen like below screenshot

You can save the file to your local drive using save as

Or you can upload it on screencast-o-matic account

You can redo it delete it and edit it.

If you are editing the video you will have screen like in below screenshot

You can use tools

Such as .

Cut

copy

Insert

Overlay

Speed

After edit the video according to your requirement click on done

Then you can choose option to save.

Hence you have successfully recorded the screen and saved the video.

Testing or What can go wrong?

1. always check whether the voice is audible before recording the screen and set the screen properly to record only what we want.

2.always use rec pause method and edit the portion which is not required

to save time

3. edit properly using tools.

4.save the video with proper name and at proper location and check the location before saving,

It will be easy to fetch the video when required
